Web Host

A web host is a new type of company specific to the Internet.

The web host basically provides your web site a home on the Internet so that it may be accessed from anywhere in the world. The idea is simplistic but a little more is involved.

In order to have your web page/site on the Internet the web provider needs a full time connection to the Internet. Your files are then uploaded through a ftp to the companies main server.
