Evolved from the ARPANet of the late 60's and early 70's ,Internet is the global computer network, composed of thousands of Wide Area Networks (WANs) and Local Area Networks (LANs), that uses TCP/IP to provide world-wide communications to homes, schools, businesses, and governments. The World Wide Web runs on the Internet.
